“Stars are sparkling on this frozen night … wonder fills the silence, and peace returns again.” A tuneful triple meter melody, shared between both parts with uncomplicated linear harmony, and picturesque lyrics present a beautiful winter snapshot in time. Equally effective with young voices or a women's ensemble. Written in memory of Rob Eisele.

Available through the publisher and choral music distributors.

Text by Kathy Burdette

Snow and stars are sparkling on this frozen night.
Sounds are softly muffled in this world of white.
Bustle slows to stillness; darkness closes in.
Wonder fills the silence and peace returns again.

All the possibilities lie under snow.
Now we wait and deeply dream that they will grow.
Long and silent evenings comfort and sustain.
Nurtured by the quiet we find ourselves again.

Winter brings peace and offers a new start.
The wonder of the winter is an opening of the heart.

Snow and stars are sparkling on this frozen night.
Sounds are softly muffled in this world of white.
Bustle slows to stillness; darkness closes in.
Wonder fills the silence and peace returns again.

And peace returns again.
